Customer Advisory Panel membership update

To support the new regulatory cycle, we have made considered changes to the composition and leadership of our Customer Advisory Panel (CAP).

The CAP plays an important role in shaping our regulatory proposals and helping ensure our customers and community’s perspectives are meaningfully considered in decision making. We thank all CAP members for the important role they have played in shaping our recent proposal.

As we look forward to the next 5 year regulatory cycle, our focus is changing. We know its important to continue building on the panel’s knowledge and capability developed over the last reset, while also bringing in new perspectives and fresh minds. We consider this balance important to supporting strong outcomes for our customers and communities as we move through the energy transition.

As part of these changes, Hilary Newstead has accepted the position of Chair. This is a natural progression given the capability, judgement and leadership she has consistently demonstrated as Deputy Chair.

Philip Cullum, our former Chair, will remain on the CAP as a member, continuing to contribute his considerable knowledge and experience.

Natalie Collard’s membership has concluded. We thank her for her contribution, particularly in ensuring regional and rural perspectives were strongly represented and look forward to continuing collaboration through other avenues.

We are also welcoming three new members to the CAP. Linda Nieuwenhuizen, CEO of Committee for Greater Shepparton, brings strong regional and rural insight. Pauline Ugle, Chair of the First Peoples Advisory Council for CitiPower, Powercor and United Energy, who will help strengthen collaboration and support stronger integration of First Peoples perspectives into decision making. And finally, Jo Witters, who brings extensive energy industry experience and a valuable external perspective.

We look forward to working with everyone and continuing to keep the needs and expectations of customers and communities at the centre of our decision making.
