Installing 17 stand-alone power systems to ensure reliable backup power for select customers.
What this means for rural customers
- Continued and some improvement in reliability levels.
- Long term plans for improving reliability in the future, addressing the needs and preferences of the community.
- Ability to charge electric vehicles, with reduced electric vehicle related outages.
- Improved energy equity by increase in energy reliability for our worst-served customers including customers living in Glenlyon, Trentham, Rokewood and Peterborough.
- Improved power quality and energy related technology issues within the Northern Murray area.
